Just before Christmas of last year I sent Ella Masters some snail mail, but I wasn't able to put anything handmade inside, so I promised I would make her something in the new year. Ella has waited very patiently and so this week I sent her this embroidered doily. The doily is very old, I think it is about 100 years old. I knew Ella was into quotations and asked her on twitter which her favorite one was, thankfully she didn't ask me why, hehe. The quote reads "Follow every rainbow till you find your dream". I embroidered with hues of blue and green for the lettering and then stitched a flower surrounded by french knots. You'll also see a little cross and peace sign at the bottom.
The doily is so pretty! I love the pastel colors. I'm sure she will enjoy it very much :)
