Random Goodies

I've been buying lots of bargains this week from my local charity shop, online, Tynemouth market and Corbridge. I know a lot of people don't like image heavy blog posts, but today you are unfortunately getting one so there :P

Various old stamps £1.50 Tynemouth Market

I went to Corbridge the other day and visited the most beautiful and cosy art shop ever called 'Delight & Wisdom'. The shop has a whole section dedicated to decoupage. I used to do a lot when I was younger and now I'm getting back into it. I got this handsome fox which I will cover with the floral, paisley paper which you can see below. The paper I bought is proper decoupage paper as it is quite thin with a lovely sheen.

Visit the art shop website and you can see a picture of it here.
You can see more animals and decoupage papers from this site called 'Decopatch' who supply the art shop.

Fox £3.20 / Decoupage sheets £1.10 (each)

Sherlock Holmes book (not sure of the date but it has written inside that it was given to someone as a present in 1916) £1 Tynemouth Market

One of my most favourite shops in the whole world is RE in Corbridge. All the items are vintage, recycled or made too look very old. It is a total experience every time I go in. There are lights made from old jelly moulds, shelves full of maps, glass cake stands that stretch beyond the eyes can see, glass domes, vintage wooden rolling pins in stacks of boxes and so much more. Their presentation inspires you too see what the items would look like in your own home. I have to say I do think they are totally over priced, but sometimes you can find little gems like these watchmakers boxes which I found in an old cabinet. They are so tiny and I love their appearance and the old inscriptions inside. I might leave them as they are, but I had thought to place rock specimens in them. There were more so I'm sure if you asked them via email they be would more than welcome to help you get some.

Watchmakers boxes £1 each

Whilst visiting Tynemouth today I went into this shop called 'Raspberry Bazaar' which I hadn't been inside for years. When you go in you don't know where to look. Every wall and almost the whole of the floors are packed with the most amazing colourful ornaments, chimes, jewellery and clothing. The only way to describe  it is that it is very much what is going on in my head 'Total Chaos'.

Moon and Star Mood ring £1.95

Vintage Twist ring 80p Charity Shop

I couldn't resist the Delilah Dust 20% off sale that was on last week so I bought another set of two silver stacking / above knuckle rings. I have the complete set now and I will be wearing these a hell of a lot.
